What is the delivery time?
At FSP Collection, most of our products, including our unique Springbok and gameskin bags and homeware, are handcrafted and made to order. Because of this meticulous process, production can take approximately 2 weeks, depending on our factory’s capacity, especially during busy periods like the festive season. This timeline also applies to special requests or custom orders.
For items we have in stock, we aim to dispatch them within 2–7 working days after your payment has been confirmed.
Once your order is placed, we will provide you with all relevant details regarding your expected delivery date. Please note that due to the handmade nature of our products, linings and fittings may vary slightly from item to item. We believe this only adds to the charm and individuality of each piece.
The Handcrafted Process
All of our Springbok and gameskin products are carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans, ensuring each item is of the highest quality. The bags and homeware you purchase from FSP Collection are not mass-produced; they are crafted with care and attention to detail.
Our artisans work with natural materials, and each piece is made to order, ensuring it is created specifically for you. This craftsmanship takes time, especially since we prioritize quality over speed in every step of the production process. From selecting the finest ethically sourced hides to individually cutting, stitching, and assembling each product, we take pride in creating products that are not only beautiful but also durable and sustainable.
During busier periods, such as the festive season, our production timelines may extend slightly due to increased demand. Rest assured, we are committed to delivering a product that meets the highest standards, and we will keep you updated throughout the process.
Sustainable and Ethical Production
FSP Collection is proud to support sustainable and ethical practices in the manufacturing of all our products. Our Springbok and gameskin materials are ethically sourced, ensuring that we provide high-quality, environmentally responsible products. Each item is made by hand, which not only enhances its uniqueness but also reduces the environmental footprint compared to mass-produced goods.
For custom orders or specific requests, please email us at info@fspcollection.co.za. We will communicate the estimated timeline and ensure you’re updated throughout the process, from production to delivery.
If you're placing a special request or custom order, please allow additional time for production and shipping. We will work closely with you to ensure your specific needs are met, whether it's for a unique colour variation or a custom design. Once your order is ready, we will notify you of the shipping details.
Our return policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery. The product must be returned in its original condition and packaging for a refund. Items like personalized or special request orders are non-refundable unless defective.
What if I am not satisfied with the product?
Our Springbok and gameskin products are crafted with care and attention to detail, but we understand that sometimes items may not meet expectations. If you are not completely satisfied with your order, or if the product is not as expected, you may return it within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund.
Please note that each item is unique due to the natural materials used, and slight variations in colour, texture, and fittings are part of the character of handmade products. If your item has a defect, please contact us at info@fspcollection.co.za so we can assist you.
Once your order is dispatched, we will send you an email or SMS with tracking information. If you have any concerns about your order or need to check its status, you can contact us at info@fspcollection.com or 021 447 3099.
At FSP Collection, we take pride in our handcrafted products, and while we strive to ensure that every item meets the highest quality standards, please note the following:
1. Handcrafted Products: Each item in our collection, particularly our Springbok and gameskin bags and homeware, is handmade. As a result, slight variations in texture, color, and fittings may occur. These differences are a natural part of working with genuine leather and hides and should not be considered defects but rather a testament to the unique, artisanal nature of the product.
2. Materials: Our products are crafted from natural, ethically sourced materials. As with all natural products, there may be inconsistencies in pattern, markings, and appearance, which adds to the individuality of each piece.
3. Production Times: The majority of our products are made to order. While we aim to meet the specified timelines (approximately 2 weeks for production), there may be unforeseen delays due to factory capacity or other circumstances. We will communicate any such delays with you promptly.
4. Custom Orders: Special requests and custom orders may have extended production times and are non-refundable, except in the case of manufacturing defects.
5. Product Care: Due to the natural properties of the materials used, we recommend that you follow our care instructions to ensure the longevity of your product. Improper care may result in premature wear, for which we cannot be held responsible.
6. Shipping & Delivery: We do our best to ship in-stock items within 2–7 working days. For made-to-order and custom items, shipping timelines may vary. Once your item has been dispatched, FSP Collection is not liable for any delays caused by courier services or external factors beyond our control.
By purchasing from FSP Collection, you acknowledge and accept these terms. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at info@fspcollection.co.za before making a purchase.
Your handcrafted bags from FSP Collection are made with premium Springbok, zebra, cowhide, and leather materials. Proper care is essential to maintain their beauty and durability for years to come. Below are our recommended care instructions for each type of material, along with advice on where to purchase quality care products locally.
General Care Guidelines
Avoid Prolonged Sun Exposure:
- Natural materials like Springbok, zebra, and cowhide can fade over time when exposed to direct sunlight for long periods. Store your bags in a cool, shaded area when not in use.
Prevent Excessive Moisture:
- While leather and hides are somewhat water-resistant, they should not be exposed to excessive moisture. If your bag gets wet, pat it dry immediately with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry away from direct heat or sunlight.
Storage:
- When storing your bag, fill it with tissue paper or soft material to maintain its shape. Avoid hanging your bag for long periods, as this can distort the leather or hide.
Springbok, Zebra, and Cowhide Bags
1. Brushing and Cleaning:
- Use a soft-bristle brush to gently remove any dust or dirt from the surface of your bag. Always brush in the direction of the fur.
- For light cleaning, wipe gently with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking the hide, as it may damage the fur and leather underneath.
2. Conditioning:
- Use a leather conditioner specifically formulated for natural hides. This will help maintain the suppleness of the leather and prevent it from drying out or cracking.
- Apply conditioner sparingly to a soft cloth and gently rub it into the leather parts of the bag. Avoid applying directly to the fur.
3. Stain Removal:
- For minor stains, blot with a damp cloth. Do not rub, as this can spread the stain.
- For tougher stains, use a small amount of mild, natural soap diluted with water. Test on an inconspicuous area before applying to the entire bag.
4. Shedding and Bald Patches:
- It is normal for hair-on-hide bags to shed slightly over time. To minimize shedding, avoid friction and rubbing against abrasive surfaces.
- If bald patches appear, these are typically caused by excessive wear and cannot be repaired. To prolong the life of your bag, avoid frequent, high-contact use.
Leather Bags
1. Cleaning:
- Wipe your leather bag with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Use a leather cleaner if needed, but make sure it is a product designed specifically for leather to avoid damage.
2. Conditioning:
- Regularly apply a high-quality leather conditioner to keep the leather soft and supple. This is especially important for preventing cracks, which can occur over time as leather dries out.
- Condition your bag every few months, depending on how often you use it. Be sure to apply the conditioner evenly across the surface using a soft cloth.
3. Protecting:
- To protect your leather bag from water and stains, consider using a leather protector spray. Test any products on a small, hidden section of the bag to ensure there’s no discoloration or damage.
4. Scuff Marks and Scratches:
- Use a leather balm or polish to buff out minor scuffs and scratches. Rub in circular motions using a soft cloth.
- Deep scratches or tears may require professional repair. Contact a local leather repair specialist for assistance.
